POP-UP ROSE NURSERY
PHOENIX, AZ
Pop-up Architecture
This pop-up rose nursery originated as an interim land use strategy for a vacant lot in the heart of uptown Phoenix, AZ. With eventual plans to develop the land into it’s highest and best use, the property owner wanted to deploy a temporary program to increase cash flow, while at the same time improving the appearance of the site. This would in turn attract attention from developers, and add to the surrounding community and urban environment.
The project used light weight wood framing, temporary ground screws for footings, and conventional scaffolding to create a uniform shading across the entire site.
